Galaxy S23 Series Tipped for September Start – Research Snipers

Samsung plans to expand the One UI 8 beta program to other Galaxy devices. Only recently there was an official message, now there is a discovery of a well-known leaker to the device beta start that has not yet been mentioned.

Beta access for other Galaxy series

Samsung is therefore preparing to launch the beta version of One UI 8 based on Android 16 for other Galaxy devices. Now it is becoming clear when the Galaxy S23 series will be given precisely access. A new leak from @Tarunvats33 on Twitter/X provides more specific information about the beta appointments.

According to the Tipster, the Galaxy S23 series could start around September 8th. Samsung itself had only published a specific date on the S24. However, the leaker warns that this information should be enjoyed with caution, since beta versions due to bugs could also be subject to delays, plus 1-2 days the publication dates could deviate:

Timetable for Android 16-update

The beta program, originally introduced for the Galaxy S25 series in May, will therefore be extended to the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 next week. Availability is initially limited to Korea, the USA, Great Britain and India, according to the group report. In May the beta was also started in Germany for the S25.

Samsung has confirmed that the stable one UI 8-update will be rolled out for supported Galaxy devices from September. This means that in September the availability will be extended to even more devices, including the Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, A36 5G, A55 5G, A35 5G and A54. This gradual introduction enables Samsung to identify and fix potential problems before the update reaches a wider user base.

New functions and improvements

One UI 8 is based on the Android 16 operating system and represents a significant upgrade compared to the Android 15-based one UI 7. Samsung has focused on refining the user interface and the optimization of the user experience through important adjustments. The Galaxy AI functions receive a larger upgrade in terms of user-friendliness. The standard apps have received more functions in One UI 8, which unlocks useful tools. Users can use the Samsung Members app register for the beta program.
